A Nitrogen generator produces nitrogen gas from compressed air. Nitrogen is a colorless gas that makes up 78% of the Earth's atmosphere. It is non-flammable and non-reactive, making it an ideal gas for many industrial and commercial applications. Productive time of analysts and users spent in follow-up for cylinder procurement, change and daily installation of cylinders are eliminated. In operations, cylinders having high cylinder pressure creates a safety issue which is also now addressed with the Nitrogen Generator. With high requirement of Nitrogen for the Nitrogen evaporator and Nitrogen Solvent concentrator, the Nitrogen Generator is a simple solution for tedious logistics, high cost of cylinders and vendor dependency.
PSA nitrogen generators use a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process to separate nitrogen from oxygen in the air. PSA Nitrogen Generator uses two towers filled with carbon molecular sieve (CMS). The "online" tower is filled with compressed air that flows through the CMS. Nitrogen passes through the CMS while oxygen and other trace gases are absorbed. Once a pre-set time has passed, the on-line tower automatically switches to regenerative mode, venting contaminants. In contrast to ordinary activated carbon, carbon molecular sieve has a much smaller range of pore openings. Nitrogen molecules are too large to enter the CMS, so oxygen penetrates the pores and we get pure Nitrogen.
Our nitrogen generators are delivered as complete systems, complete with air filters and automatic controls to hook up to a compressed air supply. Start up your PSA Nitrogen Generator by switching it on, and you're ready to start. Also, maintenance is easy. PSA Nitrogen Generator filters only need to be changed once every six to twelve months, depending on your usage.
Our in-house developed software process controller generates the output of Nitrogen by optimising the functions to increase compressor life and reduce running costs over long periods of use.
